An event to celebrate this area’s 100-year history as the “Shade Tobacco Capital of the World”
• Silent Auctions (you do not have to be present to win), including cigars and related items and assorted items from local Havana shops.
• Demonstrations by Master Cigar Roller Luis Gonzalez of JC Newman Cigar Co.
• Tours of The Planters Exchange, a Nationally Registered Historic Site, that include plans for renovation, preservation and community use.
• Shade Tobacco exhibit tours, “Seed-to-Cigars” – every hour, noon to 3 pm.
• Tobacco stringing machine exhibit and the impact it had on the tobacco production process.
• Booths by area Cigar Clubs and Aficionados.
• Museum Shop open for cigar and area history items.
• Cigar sales and aficionados available all day.
• Lunch and food options on the grounds and at Havana restaurants.
 
Limited seating is available for these 2 separately ticketed events:
• How to grow your own tobacco and roll your own cigar, including two free hand-rolled cigars.  Must be 21 or over to participate.  Cost:  $30.00 (Click here to Register)
• Bourbon & Cigars. A whimsical presentation about the relationship of fine cigars and good bourbon by Corona Cigar Company owner Jeff Borysiewicz and cigar trainers from JC Newman (Ybor City). Participants will enjoy a quality cigar and a flight of three bourbon samples.  Additional samples available.  Must be 21 or over to participate.  Cost:  $30.00 (Click here to Register)
