Volunteers & Paid Workers too...Thursday Workdays allow us to accomplish work and avoid more expensive work repairs or construction costs as we restore and maintain this historic site (the Planters Exchange is a National Registered Historic Site).
Work tasks range from basic construction to clean-up and landscaping, painting minor repairs... and more advanced work with work workers, electricians, plumbers, who help in overseeing work, plans & material orders, and design or repairs.
PAID WORKERS TOO! As likely noticed, there are many projects to maintain and improve this historic site and the various shops & offices, Pavilion, Auditorium, and grounds. These activities can allow us to accomplish many of the improvements, repairs, and maintenance that can provide paid part-time work opportunities for those with more advanced skills, as well as helpers who can work part-time; even if just 4 hours a week. (work projects also often occur on times/days other than Thursdays)
Currently there are multiple projects, with the need for workers from 12 - 40 hours per week on various projects. Call or text Bill Piotrowski (850-510-4979), Laura white (954-646-1961), or Pat Kitching (352-214-1831) for further information.
